Understanding Your Readiness for Change
The University of Rhode Island Change Assessment (URICA) is a simple, research-based tool that helps you explore where you are in your personal growth journey. It isn’t a test or a diagnosis — it’s a way to better understand how ready you feel to make changes in your life.
The assessment looks at four stages of change:
-
Precontemplation: You may not yet see a need for change or feel it applies to you right now.
-
Contemplation: You’re thinking about making a change, but still deciding what that might look like.
-
Action: You’re actively taking steps to make positive changes.
-
Maintenance: You’re working to maintain your progress and prevent setbacks.
Your results offer insight into your current mindset and help guide your next steps — whether you’re just starting to think about change or already taking action toward it.
If you’d like to explore what your results mean and how they connect to your goals, schedule a session with Dr. Lexi to begin turning insight into growth.
